The Swift Current Comp. Ardens soccer team won twice and tied once on home turf over the weekend.
The Ardens struggled to capitalize on their scoring opportunities in a 0-0 draw against the Weyburn Eagles on Friday. Rory Williams earned the clean sheet in goal.
The Ardens found their scoring touch on Saturday, beginning with an 11-0 win over Warman. Grade 10 striker Rowan Robinson led the Ardens with three goals and one assist, followed by two goals and one assist from Mackenna Striker. Naimy Regier and Lauren Hanson both added one goal and two assists. Hailey Langager and Samantha Schmidt chipped in one goal and one assist apiece. Jodi Switzer and Kenzie Carlson also scored, while Kira Gatzke added one assist. Williams and Robinson shared the shutout in goal.
The Ardens followed up with a 12-0 win over Warman as Williams claimed another clean sheet in goal and added one assist.
Gatzke paced the attack with three goals and one assist and Robinson added two goals and two assists. Regier scored twice and added an assist, while Langager chipped in one goal and two assists.
Tienna Reinhart registered one goal and one assist. Hanson, Striker, and Schmidt also scored.
The Ardens will head to Yorkton on Oct. 17-18 for SHSAA 5A Regionals, needing a top-two finish to qualify for Provincials the following weekend in Saskatoon.
