SWAC held it’s Senior Golf District Championship on Sept. 18 at the Lac Pelletier Golf Course.
A total of 52 golfers took part in the event as they attempted to qualify for provincials.
Eastend’s Claire Topham won the Girls Division by three shots with an 85. The Swift Current Comp. Ardens took the next three spots to qualify for provincials. Kayden Meyer was second at 88. Hailey Bollinger finished third with a 91. Shayne Larson placed fourth with a 128.
The Swift Current Comp. Colts swept the top three spots in the Boys Division. Matty Schmiess won the event by two strokes with a 73. Rhyker McMorris was second with a 75 and Nate Silbernagel was third with an 80. Cabri’s Owen Paquin placed fourth with an 83 to take the final spot at provincials.
The SHSAA Provincial Golf Championships will take place at Kenosee Lake on Sept. 26-27.
