The 2025 Canada Summer Games came to a close on Sunday in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Lucky Lake’s Kash Meyers placed sixth with Saskatchewan’s men’s volleyball team. They lost in four sets to New Brunswick (25-16, 19-25, 21-25, 22-25) on Sunday morning.
Swift Current’s Navy Louma went out on a winning note in women’s soccer. Saskatchewan placed ninth with a 6-0 win over Yukon on Sunday. Saskatchewan finished with a 2-2 record after opening the tournament with round robin losses to Alberta and Newfoundland.
Saskatchewan, featuring Swift Current goaltender Kai Foster, placed eighth in men’s box lacrosse.
They lost 6-2 to New Brunswick on Sunday. Foster made 35 saves in the loss.
