Southwest golfers take on Elk Ridge Resort

Four Southwest Golfers were in action at a Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour stop at Elk Ridge Resort in Waskesiu on August 9-10.

Swift Current’s Hailey Bollinger finished fourth in the 15-19 Girls Division. She carded a 107 on Saturday, before improving to a 91 on Sunday. Sarah Henderson (Saskatoon) won the division by 10 shots with rounds of 88 and 80.

Cadillac’s Jonah Bissonnette was fifth in the Peewee Boys Division. He opened with a 98 and then improved to a 95 on day two. Adam Stepaniuk (George Town, Grand Cayman) won the division by two shots with rounds of 77 and 75.

Swift Current’s Max Gehl tied for eighth in the Bantam Boys Division with rounds of 77 and 80. Hudson Diederichs (Saskatoon) won the division by one stroke with a 75, followed by a five-under 67.

Swift Current’s Nate Silbernagel tied for 17th in the Junior Boys Division. He carded rounds of 84 and 87. Brady Guenther (Saskatoon) won the division in a playoff after rounds of 71 and 80.

Next up on the MJT Saskatchewan schedule is a Mini Tour stop at Wildwood Golf Course in Saskatoon as well as an event at the Legends Golf Course in Warman on August 23-24.
