Canada Summer Games opens Sunday

The Southwest will be well represented at the 2025 Canada Summer Games, which are set for August 9-25 in Newfoundland and Labrador. 

A total of 12 Southwest athletes are amongst Saskatchewan’s 377 athletes set to compete in 19 different spots. The Southwest will be represented on Team Saskatchewan by athletes in Athletics, Baseball, Box Lacrosse, Rugby Sevens, Soccer, Swimming, and Volleyball. 

The first week sports will begin on Saturday, including Mason Fauser in Baseball, Kai Foster in Box Lacrosse, Adriaan De Necker in Rugby Sevens, Griffin Striker in Soccer, and Chayce Foster, Tate Zimmerman, Rahimay Priebe, and Avery Underhill in Swimming.
