A pair of Southwest golfers raced out to opening-round leads at the 2025 Saskatchewan Amateur Championship at the Humboldt Golf Club on Tuesday.
Kyle’s Chloe Wills shot a three-under par 70 to lead the Women’s Amateur. She had a four-shot lead over Yorkton’s Ella Kozak in the three-round event.
Corey Bailey, playing out the of the Elmwood Golf Club in Swift Current, was eight-under par with a 64 to lead the Men’s Amateur. He is one shot ahead of Saskatoon’s Luca Sturgeon. Swift Current’s Makstr McIntyre is tied for 95th with an 83 on day one.
The tournament will resume on Wednesday morning and conclude on Thursday.
