The Swift Current U15 United Girls won the Saskatchewan Soccer Association’s Sask Cup over the weekend.
They opened the weekend with a 5-0 win over Brighton. They lost their second game 1-0 to Saskatoon Eastside Man City on Saturday morning.
The United girls defeated Brighton 5-0 again in the semi-final.
They got their rematch with Eastside in the gold medal match and won 3-0 to claim the provincial crown.
Kira Gatzke led the tournament with four goals in as many matches. Hailey Langager was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player and the team also won the Fair Play Award.
