The City of Swift Current is closely monitoring localized flooding affecting several walking paths along the creek. Due to rising water levels, the Blue Bridge on Perth Drive is being closely monitored and may be temporarily closed for a brief period this afternoon as a precautionary measure.

Flow from various portions of the watershed is already slowing as of this morning. At this time, we expect elevated creek levels to persist for several hours this afternoon before gradually receding.

Water is being actively diverted to High Field Dam to help manage flow and reduce downstream impacts. Crews are closely watching the situation throughout the day. 

Residents are advised to use caution near creek areas, avoid flooded pathways, and respect any temporary closures or posted signage. Barricades are also being placed by park staff around areas of the Chinook Parkway where water levels have risen.
