The Swift Current Broncos allowed three goals in just over five minutes in a 3-1 loss to the host Calgary Hitmen on Sunday.
Orca Wiesblatt, Blake Allan, and Connor Gabruch all scored at even strength for the Hitmen during the second period.
Jaxan Kaluski replied for the Broncos in the third period.
Isaiah DiLaura took the loss in his Bronco debut with 42 saves. Brayden Peters earned the win with 24 saves.
The Hitmen improved to 21-13-4-1, fourth in the Central Division, while the Broncos fell to 9-27-1-2 with their third straight loss.
The two teams will rematch on Wednesday in Swift Current.
