Broncos winning streak ends against Hurricanes

The Swift Current Broncos first winning streak of the season came to an end in a 6-2 loss at the hands of the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes on Wednesday.

Dylan Cozens, Alex Cotton, Logan Barlage, Noah Boyko, D-Jay Jerome, and Trevor Thurston all found the back of the net for the Hurricanes. Carl Tetachuk earned the win with 15 saves.

Ethan Regnier and Aiden Bulych replied for the Broncos, who got 46 saves from Reece Klassen against his former team.

Lethbridge becomes the first team in the Western Hockey League to reach the 15-win plateau as they improved to 15-6-0-3. The Broncos fell to 5-12-1-2 as their modest two-game winning streak came to an end.

The Broncos will host the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday.
