Broncos end scoreless drought in loss

The Swift Current Broncos ended a lengthy goalless drought, but still lost 4-1 to the host Lethbridge Hurricanes on Wednesday.

D-Jay Jerome scored twice, while Logan Barlage and Dylan Cozens also scored for the Hurricanes.

Matthew Culling scored early in the third period to end the Broncos scoreless stretch of over 216 minutes.

Reece Klassen took the loss with 38 saves on 42 shots against his former team. Carl Tetachuk earned the win with 20 saves.

The Broncos fell to 3-10-1-2 with their fourth consecutive loss. Lethbridge sits second in the Central Division with a 12-4-0-3 record.

The Broncos will visit the Regina Pats on Friday and the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday.
