The Swift Current Comp. Colts football team were edged 35-30 by the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones on Saturday to open the South Rural 3A 12-man Football League season.
The Colts finished with 292 yards of total offence as Carter Moberg, Rhett Vavra, Carson Letkeman, and Owen Ljunggren all scored touchdowns.
Vavra caught five passes for 92 yards and also had one carry for 34 yards.
The Cyclones compiled 395 yards of total offense as they ran the ball for 294 yards. Ryan Vincent carried the ball 26 times for 223 yards and two touchdowns for the Cyclones.
The Colts host Moose Jaw AE Peacock tonight at 7 p.m. in their annual Thursday Night Lights game.
