Lind named SFMAAAHL MVP

After winning her second league scoring title in three seasons, Shaunavon’s Taylor Lind was presented with the Hayley Wickenheiser Most Valuable Player Award before the opening game of the playoffs on Thursday.

Lind led the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League with 29 goals and 31 assists in 28 games. She finished her career in second in league all-time scoring with 170 points in only 83 games.

She helped lead the Wildcats to a 15-10-2-1 record this season, third in the eight-team SFMAAAHL. Lind also collected hardware as a league First-Team All-Star and as the Top Scorer.

Lind is the first member of the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats to win the award since goaltender Jasey Book in 2015-16. Defenseman Bailey Habscheid also won the award in 2009-10.

She is committed to play for the Lindenwood University Lions next season.
