Gull Lake’s Taylor Kirwan was rewarded for a fine debut season with the University of Lindenwood Lions.
The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats alumnus was named to the College Hockey America All-Rookie Team after leading all Lindenwood defenseman with 13 points in 32 games. She scored two goals this season, both against Syracuse, and blocked 35 shots.
The Lions finished the regular season with a 7-21-4 record, including a 3-14-3 mark in conference play.
The Lions will be in Buffalo, NY on Wednesday to open the CHA Tournament against Syracuse.
