A second member of the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires has signed with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League.
Two days after Reed Jacobson signed, the Chiefs announced that they had inked defenseman Hendrik de Klerk to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.
de Klerk was the Chiefs’ seventh round pick, 138th overall, in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Swift Current product led the Legionnaire blueline corps with 37 points in 44 games during his first full season in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.
The Legionnaires are in Wilcox on Saturday to open the SMAAAHL playoffs against the Notre Dame Hounds.
They will host game two of the best-of-five series on Monday at 7:45 p.m. at the Innovation Credit Union iplex.
