Lind scores in Saskatchewan loss at Canada Winter Games

Taylor Lind scored her first goal at the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer.

The Shaunavon product scored a power play goal with 5:11 remaining in the second period as Team Saskatchewan lost 5-2 to Ontario in the women’s hockey quarter-final on Thursday. She now has a goal and three assists in four games.

The game was close until Ontario scored three goals in 1:35 early in the second period.

Lind is joined on Team Saskatchewan by her Wildcats’ teammate Carissa Hogan and head coach Terry Pavely.

Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec also advanced to the semi-final.

Saskatchewan will play in the relegation round on Friday.
