The Swift Current Peewee A Broncos opened the provincial playoffs with a 13-1 win over the host Weyburn Wings on Thursday.
Jonah Stechyshyn led the Broncos with two goals and three assists. Dane Williams finished with two goals and one assist, while Nate Laforge and Grayson Collier added a goal and two assists each. Austin Robinson, Derric Dulatre, and Aidan Robinson each scored twice, while Ayden Ross also found the back of the net.
Nate Silbernagel chipped in two assists, while Kendra Shumaker added a single helper.
Game two is set for Saturday at 7:45 p.m. at the Innovation Credit Union iplex.
