Broncos drop road game in Lethbridge

The Swift Current Broncos lost another road game to the Lethbridge Hurricanes by a final tally of 3-1 on Friday.

After a scoreless first period, the teams combined for three goals in the second period. Justin Hall opened the scoring with his first career goal for Lethbridge. Max Patterson equalized for the Broncos with his eighth goal midway through the period. Lethbridge regained the lead minutes later when Zachary Cox notched his ninth goal of the season.

Jake Elmer added an insurance goal in the third period.

Joel Hofer made 39 save to fall to 2-15-1-1. Carl Tetachuk improved to 4-3-0-0 with 25 saves.

The Broncos fell to 4-20-1-1, while Lethbridge improved to 12-8-3-2. The Broncos have won only once in 14 road games this season.

The Broncos are back at home to host the Brandon Wheat Kings on Teddy Bear Toss Night on Saturday at 7 p.m.
