The Swift Current Midget Female AA Broncos lost a close contest with the visiting Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday. The Hounds scored the only goal of the third period to defeat the Broncos 3-2. Carli Patenaude scored the game-winner 1:51 into the final frame.
Jenna Olfert and Autumn Nimegeers scored in a losing cause. Breanna Tourigny assisted on both goals.
The Broncos fell to 2-9-0 in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AA Hockey League, while the Hounds improved to 3-4-0.
The Broncos will return to league action on Dec. 4 when they visit the Regina Rebels.
