Broncos shutout in Regina

The Swift Current Broncos were shutout 2-0 by the host Regina Pats on Saturday.

The Pats took the lead late in the opening period when Jake Leschyshyn notched his 13th goal of the season.Scott Mahovlich scored 2:03 into the second period to double the lead.

Rookie Isaac Poulter made 22 saves on 24 shots to fall to 1–5-0-0 for the Broncos.

Max Paddock made 20 saves in his first WHL shutout to improve to 4-10-0-0.

The Broncos fell to 3-16-0-1 as they were shutout for the third time this season, while Regina improved to 7-12-0-0 with their third win over the Broncos in as many attempts.

The Broncos will host the Red Deer Rebels on Sunday at 4 p.m. to open a five-game home stand, their third game in as many days.
