57’s lead Saskatchewan to 4-0 record at 15U Baseball Nationals

Three Swift Current Minor Baseball products continued to lead Team Saskatchewan to a flawless 4-0 at the Baseball Canada 15U Boys Ray Carter Cup Championships in Oshawa, ON on Friday.

Brody Alexandre, Ethan Murdoch, and Kelsey Rokochy were major contributors once again as Saskatchewan added wins over Alberta and Nova Scotia on day two of the tournament.

Saskatchewan moved to a 3-0 with an 8-1 win over Alberta in the morning. Saskatchewan outhit Alberta 7-3 and also took advantage of six errors.

Alexandre finished with a single, a stolen base, a walk, a run batted in, and a run scored.

Rokochy got the final seven outs as he allowed two walks and and one run while striking out four.

Saskatchewan added a 9-5 win over Nova Scotia in the afternoon. Murdoch had a big game at the plate as he finished with two hits, one run scored, one walk, and three runs batted in.

Rokochy also singled and knocked home a run.

Alexandre pitched one inning and allowed one hit, two walks, and one run while striking out one.

Saskatchewan will look to conclude an unbeaten round robin on Saturday against unbeaten New Brunswick (4-0).
