Rage win silver at Women’s Soccer Provincials

The Swift Current Rage won twice to advance to the championship match at the Saskatchewan Soccer Association Soccer 4 Life Women’s Provincial Championships in Regina.

The Rage won their opener 5-1 over Estevan United FC. Charlene Burkey paced the attack with two goals, while Amy Neufeld, Daunean Dash, and Laura Blohm added singles.

They dropped their second game 6-1 to Yorkton United FC. Dash scored the only goal in a losing effort.

Swift Current rematched with Estevan in the semi-final and advanced with a 2-0 win on a pair of goals from Cassie Barber.

They faced Yorkton in the championship match and lost 3-1. Blohm scored the only goal and was named the Tournament Most Valuable Player.
