The Swift Current 57’s won three games to bring home silver medals from Mosquito AA Tier 1 Provincials in Lloydminster over the weekend.
The 57’s finished with a 2-1 record in the round robin to advance to the playoffs. They opened the tournament on Friday with an 8-6 win over the Prince Albert Raiders.
The 57’s defeated the Weyburn Beavers 19-11 on Saturday and then lost 14-1 to the host team from Lloydminster.
The Mosquito 57’s defeated the Moose Jaw Prairie Dogs 15-5 in four innings in the semi-final on Sunday afternoon before falling 12-2 to Lloydminster in the championship game.
