57’s drop third straight

A three-run seventh inning was the difference as the visiting Moose Jaw Miller Express handed the Swift Current 57’s a third straight loss on Thursday.

Ty Roseberry hit a three-run home run to lift the Miller Express (15-12) to a 7-4 win to move two games ahead of the 57’s (14-15).

The 57’s were held to five hits in the loss. Blake Adams moved to the leadoff spot and scored twice on a walk and a single. Catcher Ben Komonosky was on base with two walks, one single, and one hit by pitch and scored a run.

Spencer Koelewyn led the 57’s pitching staff with two scoreless innings out of the bullpen.

The 57’s will host the Eastern Division leading Weyburn Beavers (21-7) on Friday at Mitchell Field.
