The Swift Current Mosquito 57’s won once in four home games during their opening weekend in the Regina Mosquito AAA Baseball League.
The 57’s hosted Lumsden on Saturday and won the opener 10-0 before losing 6-3 in the second game. They also hosted the Regina White Sox on Sunday and lost 15-7 and 13-11.
The Mosquito 57’s will be in Regina for league games against the Buffalos and White Sox on Saturday. They will also head to Estevan for two games on Sunday.
The Peewee AAA 57’s also won one of four games in their opening weekend on the road.
They lost 3-2 to the Weyburn Beavers on Saturday before rebounding for an 18-16 win. Brandon Bourlon had eight strike outs in game one. Connor Choo-Foo, Rydell Adair, Brayden Sumner, and Bourlon all homered for the 57’s in game two.
The 57’s were in Estevan on Sunday and lost 14-7 and 15-5.
They are in Regina next weekend for double headers against the Buffalos and Pacers.
