Bantam Broncos dealing in opener against Aces

The Swift Current Kabos Broncos opened round two of the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League playoffs with a convincing 7-1 win against the visiting Regina Aces.

The defending league and provincial champions fired 10 shots on goal in all three periods and scored at least two goals in each period, finishing four-for-six on the power play.

Keagon Little finished with two goals and one assist and Joe Arntsen totaled one goal and two assists. Kalan Lind and Rhys O’Neill each scored twice, while Hayden Wilm and Jaydon Jessiman each added two assists. Ryan McCleary, Zac Sumner, and Noah Wills also added assists. Justin Dueck earned the win with 19 saves.

Game two of the best-of-three South Division semi-final series will be Tuesday in Regina. A third and deciding game, if necessary, would be Thursday at 7:45 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
