Midget AA Broncos advance with shutout win

The Swift Current Abbey Resources Broncos got 34 saves from Jacob Herman and points from eight different skaters in a 4-0 win over the Estevan Bruins in the fifth and deciding game of the best-of-five South Saskatchewan Midget AA Hockey League quarter-final series on Tuesday.

Quinn Patenaude led the Broncos with two goals, Nathan McInnis added a goal and an assist, and Matthew Christianson collected two assists.

Riley Skarbon also scored, while Brock Oberle, Beau Larson, Levi Lamotte, and Ryland Hornung all added assists.

The home team won all five games after the Broncos had won twice at home before the Bruins replied with two home wins over the weekend.
