Legionnaires defeat Generals

The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires won a third straight Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League game with a 3-1 win over the visiting Moose Jaw Generals Friday.

Cody Levesque made 24 saves in the win, missing out on a shutout when Skyler Sangster scored with only one second left in the game.
Captain Owen Ozar led the Legionnaires with a goal and an assist, while Jacob Piller and Mason Strutt also scored. Mac Gross, Rin Beny, Ty Muench, and Hunter Lamb also scored.

The Legionnaires improved to 15-9-0-3, while Moose Jaw dropped to 6-16-3-2.

The Legionnaires will be back on home ice Sunday against the Beardy’s Blackhawks at 1:45 p.m. at the Innovation Credit Union iplex.
