The Swift Current Comp. Colts will begin their pursuit of a provincial championship this weekend when they host the SHSAA 5A Boys Volleyball South Regional Championship.
A total of six teams will participate in Regionals, with three spots at Provincials up for grabs.
A veteran-laden Colts team will open the weekend with a round robin game on Friday at 5 p.m. against the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones. The defending provincial bronze medalists will also take on the Estevan Elecs at 8 p.m. to conclude the round robin.
The playoffs will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. and will conclude with the gold medal match at 5:30 p.m., followed by the bronze medal match at 6:30 p.m.
Also in attendance will be Moose Jaw AE Peacock, Balgonie, and Weyburn.
5A Boys Provincials will be held the following weekend in Meadow Lake.
