Legionnaires lose battle with Generals

The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires allowed two first-period goals and never recovered in a 2-1 loss to the visiting Moose Jaw Generals Wednesday.

Zac Robbins and Jansen Wiebe staked the Generals to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Jerzy Orchard replied with a shorthanded goal for the home team in the second period, with an assist from Ty Munech, before a scoreless third period.

Steven Duchscher made 30 saves on 32 shots in the loss. Jake Davidson made 39 saves on 40 shots in the win.

The Legionnaires (1-1) will be in Warman to face the Tisdale Trojans (3-0) Friday.
