MacNeil golfs at Junior Nationals

Hannah MacNeil took part in the Canadian Junior Girls Championship at the Camelot Golf & Country Club in Cumberland, ON from August 1-4.

The Shaunavon golfer missed the two-round cut during her second consecutive appearance at Junior Nationals.

MacNeil opened the tournament with an 18-over-par 88 on Tuesday. Her best hole was a birdie on the par-four 13th. She followed up with a 90 on day two, highlighted by a birdie on the par-four ninth hole.

MacNeil had qualified for Junior Nationals with a second-place finish at the 67th Saskatchewan Junior Women’s Golf Provincial Championship at the Chinook Golf Club in Swift Current.

Surrey, BC’s Susan Xiao (70-73-71-69-283) won Junior Nationals at five under-par for a five-shot win.
