The host Swift Current 57’s dropped their opening game at the Midget AA Tier I Provincial Baseball Championship in dramatic fashion Friday afternoon.
The 57’s led the Midwest Diamondbacks 9-7 but allowed three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to fall 10-9.
The 57’s will continue the round robin on Saturday against the Regina Buffalos at 12 p.m. and at 8 p.m.
