Dustin Wells won his fourth straight game since joining the Swift Current 57’s, leading the team to a 7-5 win over the visiting Brooks Bombers Tuesday. Both teams knocked out 12 hits, but it was the 57’s who were able to put together three multiple-run innings.

Wells scattered nine hits, one walk, and three runs, two that were earned, over seven innings to improve to 4-0 with a 1.00 earned run average.

The 57’s got contributions from up and down their line-up, but it was Thomas DeBonville’s two-run single in the seventh inning that proved to be the difference after Matt Bondarchuk and Blake Adams were both hit by pitches and came around to score.

Shortstop Grant Van Scoy also had a big night at the bottom of the order with two-hits, including a solo home run, and two runs batted in.

Shortstop Grant Van Scoy tomahawked his second home run of the season out of Mitchell Field in the fourth inning.
