The Swift Current Broncos’ road woes continued on Saturday in a 7-3 loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Landon Hanson and Gracyn Sawchyn led the Oil Kings with two goals and two assists each. Marshall Finnie also scored twice, while Roan Woodward scored the other goal.
The Broncos were fighting from behind all game with goals from Rylan Gould, Carlin Dezainde, and Josh McGregor as they fell to 4-7-0-1 on the road.
Reid Dyck took the loss with five goals allowed on 12 shots over 22:06. Joey Rocha made 13 saves on 15 shots over the final 37:54.
Alex Worthington earned the win with 21 saves.
The Broncos finished zero-for-three on the power play, while Edmonton was one-for-three.
The Broncos fell to 16-12-0-1, only one point ahead of Edmonton (15-12-1-1) for fifth in the Eastern Conference.
The Broncos will visit the Calgary Hitmen on Sunday and the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday before their holiday break begins.
