The Swift Current Comp. Junior Colts basketball team won once in three attempts at their Blue & Red Invitational Tournament over the weekend.
The Colts defeated the Weyburn Eagles 77-62 to open the tournament on Friday. Juan Dungca led the Colts with 13 points, followed by 10 points from Alexander Fraser. Enzo dela Cruz was named the Hustle and Heart Player of the Game for the Colts.
The Colts lost their second game 61-55 to the Grenall Griffins. Dungca paced the attack with 10 points and was named player of the game, followed by nine points from Connor Letkeman.
The Colts lost their final game 113-60 to Moose Jaw Central as the Cyclones finished undefeated in the tournament. Zachary Dyke led the Colts with 12 points, followed by 11 from dela Cruz. Quinn Bolton was named the Player of the Game.
The Junior Colts will return to tournament action on Jan. 11-12 in Prince Albert
