On September 24, at 4 pm, Swift Current Municipal RCMP and members of the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team executed a search warrant at a commercial dwelling unit on North Service Road West.
3 males and 2 females were located inside the room and were arrested. During the search of the room, quantities of methamphetamine and Canadian currency, as well as a sawed-off rifle and machete were located and seized.
As a result of the investigation:
Zackery HUNTER, 26 years of age, and Klyrissa JOHNSON, 25 years of age, have been charged with:
• Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
• Trafficking Methamphetamine contrary to Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime Less than or Equal to $5000 contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code; and
• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to Section 88(1) of the Criminal Code.
Brandon STOTZ, 31 years of age, and Alexander LINDQUIST, 25 years of age, have been charged with:
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to Section 91(1) of the Criminal Code;
• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to Section 88(1) of the Criminal Code;
• Careless Storage of a Firearm contrary to Section 86(1) of the Criminal Code;
• Tampering with a Firearm Serial Number contrary to Section 108(1)(a) of the Criminal Code; and
• Possession of a Prohibited Weapon with Ammo contrary to Section 95(a) of the Criminal Code.
Brandon STOTZ was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Appear.
Zackery HUNTER, Klyrissa JOHNSON, and Brandon STOTZ appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court on September 25 and were remanded to appear next on October 2. Alexander LINDQUIST was released from custody to appear next on October 16.
