Broncos double up Wheat Kings

The Swift Current Broncos finished three-for-three on the power play to defeat the host Brandon Wheat Kings 6-3 Tuesday. The Broncos have now won eight of their last nine games with only three games remaining in the regular season.

Artyom Minulin and Tyler Steenbergen each had a goal and an assist, while Conner Chaulk finished with three assists. Riley Stotts, Glenn Gawdin, and Arthur Miller also scored for the Broncos.

Ty Lewis, Tanner Kaspick, and Nolan Patrick replied for the Wheat Kings.

Taz Burman made 24 saves on 27 shots for his 17th win of the season. Logan Thompson took the loss with 36 saves.

Steenbergen scored for a third straight game with his league leading 51st goal of the season.

The Broncos improved to 38-21-4-6, 16 points ahead of the Wheat Kings, who dropped to 30-29-7-3.

The Broncos will be in Regina to face the Pats on Wednesday.
