The U13 Sonic softball team outscored five different opponents by an 88-11 margin to win gold at the Saskatoon Early Bird Tournament on May 10-12.
The Sonic opened the tournament with a 20-0 win over the Saskatoon Phantom Lightning. They added a 22-8 win over the Saskatoon Hustlers Panthers and wrapped up the round robin with a 17-3 win over the host Saskatoon Raiders Rebels.
The Sonic defeated TCA (Warman/Martensville) 12-0 in the semi-final and then shutout Battlefords 17-0 in the gold medal game.
