The Swift Current 14UW Selects Junior SunDogs won seven of eight matches at Sask Cup #3 in Regina over the weekend.
They opened the tournament on Friday with wins over the Battleford Chaos (25-9, 25-14) and QCVC White (25-16, 25-5). Their only loss came to Wolfpack Blue (21-25, 13-25). The SunDogs closed out the day with wins over the La Ronge Wildfire (25-5, 25-10) and S.F. Vipers (25-11, 26-24).
The SunDogs won all three matches on Sunday to place seventh in Division 2. They defeated the TCVC Lightning (25-19, 25-22), the BVC Heat (25-13, 13-25, 15-10) and the Summit (25-19, 16-25, 15-4).
The 14UW Selects, coached by Travis Cuthbert and Danielle Carlson, have now won 19 of 23 matches at three Sask Cup events.
The SunDogs will take part in Provincials on April 19-21.
