The Swift Current Comp. Ardens placed fourth in the province in 5A Girls Basketball this season.
The Ardens were unable to compete for a gold medal at the standard eight-team HOOPLA tournament after it was cancelled due to the lingering contract impasse between the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation and the Saskatchewan Government.
The SHSAA eventually held a one-day provincial basketball championship in Moose Jaw and the Ardens were seeded fourth.
They lost the bronze medal game 76-55 to Saskatoon Walter Murray on Saturday.
