The Swift Current Pure Chem Broncos won a pair of double overtime games over the Sask East Oilers to advance in the Saskatchewan U15 AA Hockey League playoffs.
Friday, the Broncos opened the South semi-final series with a 4-3 double overtime win in Gull Lake when Kasey Gleim scored the overtime winner. Gleim and Jamie Kirwin both registered one goal and two assists. Hunter Wilm had a goal and an assist, Jaxson Squires also scored, while Jake Hargrave added one assist.
Cade Mitchell earned the win with 43 saves.
Sunday, Gleim scored in the second overtime period again to clinch a 6-5 win in Yorkton. Carter Moen led the Broncos with two goals and two assists. Hargrave and Wilm each added a goal and an assist, while Ryder Leshures registered two assists. Kadyn Olfert also scored. Mitchell made 44 saves in the win.
The Broncos will now face the top-seeded Regina Pat Blues in the South Final.
