Ardens advance to HOOPLA

The Swift Current Comp. Ardens won three straight games at 5A Regionals in Prince Albert to advance to HOOPLA.

The top-seeded Ardens opened the 10-team tournament with a 62-13 win over Lloydminster on Friday. They added a 52-44 win over North Battleford Comp. in the semi-final.

The Ardens closed out the regional title with a 54-45 win over the host Prince Albert St. Mary Marauders.

The Ardens will be in Moose Jaw for HOOPLA on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The ninth-seeded SCCHS Colts opened 5A Boys Regionals with a 96-72 win over Yorkton Regional. They were eliminated in a 93-67 loss to top-seeded Prince Albert Carlton.

The 1A Herbert girls lost 59-41 to Saskatoon Christian at Regionals in Wilke.

The 3A Maple Creek Boys lost 86-60 to Canora. They won their consolation game 76-47 over Maidstone.

The 3A Maple Creek girls lost 78-51 to the host Indian Head team on Friday. The Rebelles won their consolation game 86-67 over Chief John Keenatch High School.
