The Swift Current Pure Chem Broncos won both games last week to regain top spot in the Saskatchewan U15 AA Hockey League South Division.
Saturday, the Broncos defeated the first-place Regina Pat Blues 4-1 on the road. Cade Mitchell made 27 saves in the win.
Jake Hargrave and Hunter Wilm each had a goal and an assist for the Broncos. Juris Busse and Kasey Gleim also scored. Jamie Kirwan registered two assists, while Kyler Duclos and Tysen Kobley added single helpers.
Sunday, the Broncos won 7-1 over the West Central Wheat Kings in Herbert. Carter Moen led the Broncos with three goals and one assist. Gleim scored twice and Finn Gustafson and Busse both added a goal and an assist.
Wilm, Kobley, Kadyn Olfert, Jaxson Squires, and Kirwan all added assists. Josh Benjamin made 23 saves in the win.
The Broncos improved to 21-3-0-1 to move one point ahead of the Pat Blues for top spot in the South Division. The Broncos will visit the Regina Aces and Moose Jaw Warriors this weekend to conclude the regular season.
