The Swift Current Agricultural and Exhibition Association announces the 2024 Frontier Days Lineup Information
The 86th edition of Frontier Days & CCA Rodeo is slated for June 26 – June 29th. Since 1938 Swift Current Agriculture and Exhibition Association Frontier Days Events has been known for reliving the West with friendly hospitality. The tradition of welcoming everyone to the most thrilling of summer fun continues for the whole family!
Frontier Days has a tradition of celebrating our heritage, and this year is no different with our theme Preserving Heritage, Celebrating Diversity! We’re honouring the hard work and community spirit of our Frontier Days founders and embracing cultural diversity.
Kinetic Park will be alive with the lights and laughter of the West Coast Amusements MIDWAY. The park will be full of rides, fair food, and free family entertainment and cabarets.
New to the Family Fun Zone this year will be Ride the Vibe an exciting motorcycle stunt show where spectators stand 15 feet from the action! Multiple shows per day, each one featuring a unique display of technical maneuvers and the riders conquering obstacles, including leaps onto their custom-built school bus and helmet-scraping backflips.
The Palliser Pavilion will feature The Adventure Wrangler Show & Exhibit along with a Blast from the Past Dinosaur Show and a Bluesy Dance party. Strolling the grounds will be Eric the Juggler offering impromptu Circus lessons and mini shows throughout the 4 days.
Frontier Days will feature THREE nights of grandstand entertainment.
We will be celebrating Canadian Multiculturalism Day at Frontier Days in the Grandstand on Thursday June 27th. Cultural Crossroads will be an evening of entertainment and will feature high caliber performers from a variety of cultures. Each performance will be accompanied by short explanations of the history and significance of the performances. Cultural Food and displays will also be on site!
Friday’s June 28th grandstand entertainment will be kicked off with a Canadian Artist with 8 consecutive top 10 singles on Canadian Country Radio, CCMA nominated and nominated for 2024 Juno Country Album of the Year – Award for Spillin’ My Truth. Tyler Joe Miller will hit the stage at 8:00PM. Headlining at 9:30PM is a band known for making timeless Country music for over 30 Years. Selling more than 6.8 million albums and surpassing over 1.05 billion global streams, charting 20 Top 10 singles, 15 Top 5 singles, and seven No. 1 singles. Diamond Rio will be the highlight of the Frontier Days Grandstand stage.
You will be guaranteed at good time on Saturday night grandstand entertainment. It will be a rock experience like no other. Immaculately portraying classic rock’s biggest stars from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
Such as KISS, Def Leppard, Heart, Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, Van Halen, Lita Ford, Ozzy Osbourne, Pat Benatar, Foo Fighters, Vixen, Blondie, and more.
The Ikons of Rock will be rocking the night away. Experience these rock stars musically and visually, with spectacular costumes, hilarious audience interaction and an array of incredible special effects. Ending the Saturday night entertainment will be the ever-popular Living Sky Casino Fireworks Show at 11 p.m.
The Magnus Newland Arena will be home to the CCA RODEO June 27-28th at 5 p.m., June 29 at 2 p.m.
Come out to cheer on the cowboys and cowgirls of the Canadian Cowboys Association as these western athletes (and animal athletes!) demonstrate their skills in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, break-away roping, junior steer riding, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding.
As always, don’t forget the exciting events happening downtown at Market Square with the W.W. Smith & burning of the Brand Pancake Breakfast to kick off Frontier Days. Frontier Days was started to bring families and friends together, while preserving the pioneer days and celebrating the western way of life. We continue to host Heavy Horse competitions and the 4-H Livestock Show & Sale as a display of continuing agricultural traditions.
Join us in Hansen Park for performances by cultural groups from Swift Current and around Southwest Saskatchewan on Culture Stage on June 29 and June 30th.
Join one of the most popular western fairs in Southwest Saskatchewan and take in any number of our daily attractions, such as the West Wing Gallery, Doc’s Town Heritage Village, beer gardens, Frontier Saloon, concession booths, Mennonite Heritage Village, the Stockade tradeshow and MORE!
