The Swift Current Full Line Ag Broncos kept their season alive with two late goals to defeat the visiting Estevan Chargers 4-3 Friday.
The Broncos scored twice in the final 5:26 to tie up the best-of-three South Sask Female Midget AA Hockey League semi-final series. Baylee Kirwan tied the game with her second goal of the game and then Courtney Funk outraced a defender and tapped a puck under the goaltender for the game-winning goal with 3:14 remaining in regulation.
Kirwan added an assist during a three-point outing. Sara Kendall also scored and had an assist for the Broncos. Funk also added an assist for a two-point night. Kalea Sauder, Bailey Wilson, Breanna Tourigny, and Tiana Knight all added assists. Amaya Giraudier earned the win in goal.
Michaella Matthies, Ashton Magotiaux, and Marci LeBlanc scored for the Chargers, who led by 1-0 and 3-2 period margins.
Game three will be Tuesday back in Estevan
