Swift Current’s Chase Coward was traded from the Red Deer Rebels to the Prince Albert Raiders on August 23.

Coward returned from injury late last season to post a 2.98 goals against average and a .902 save percentage in four regular season games before appearing in two post-season games.

Coward appeared in 45 regular season Western Hockey League games with Red Deer after signing as a free agent in 2019. He finished with a 25-13-4 regular season record with the Rebels. He added a 2.65 GAA, .910 save percentage, and one shutout in the playoffs during parts of three seasons in Red Deer.

The Raiders sent a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft to the Rebels in exchange for the overage goaltender.
