Four Southwest competitors won events at the Delisle Rodeo on July 14-15.
Maple Creek’s Blake Link won Bareback at the Canadian Cowboys Association event with 79 points on Hot Ashes for $576. Ryan Livingstone, also riding out of Maple Creek, was second with 75 points on Beach Troll for $432.
Livingstone won Steer Wrestling in 4.8 seconds for a $652 payday.
Kincaid’s Jud Colliness had the only eight-second ride in Bull Riding. He picked up 68 points on Fire It Up to collect $2,160 in top spot.
Mankota’s Kiera Williamson added a win in Junior Girls Barrel Racing in 15.42 seconds for $270.
Mankota’s Karli Cowie was second in Ladies Barrel Racing in 14.93 seconds for $810. Hazenmore’s Barbara Switzer was fourth in 15.19 seconds for $567. Breann Heatherington (Duck Lake) won the event in 14.8 seconds.
Maple Creek’s Cody Lane tied for third in Saddle Bronc with 66 points on Lily Monster for $371. Carter Udal, also from Maple Creek, tied for fifth with 65 points on Miscrient for $157. Tyrel Fouhse (Craven) won the event after a 77-point ride on Chasing Smoke.
Switzer also finished fourth in Ladies Breakaway Roping in 3.4 seconds for $504.
Fayth Panchuk won the event in 2.8 seconds.
Waldeck’s Tyce McLeod tied for fifth in Tie Down Roping in 9.8 seconds for $201. Denton Dunham (Indian Head), Stran Dunham (Souris, MB), and Connor Box (Corning) all tied for top spot in 9.2 seconds.
The CCA has stops in Foremost, AB and Elbow this weekend.
