Swift Current’s Carter Tuplin continued his track and field season at the U16 & U18 Trials and All Comers Meet in Regina on June 10-11.

The Swift Current Comp. High School Colts standout raced in a pair of hurdling events and qualified for the Manitoba/Saskatchewan Dual Meet on July 22-23 in Regina in both events.

Tuplin won the Mens 16-17 400 Metre Hurdles in 57.53 seconds. The time ranks him second in country this year behind only a 56.90-second time by British Columbia’s Will Van Schagen.

Tuplin also placed second in the Mens 16-17 110 Metre Hurdles in 16.68 seconds.

Tuplin won the Junior Boys 100 Metre Hurdles at SHSAA Provincials earlier this month. He was also fourth in the 400 metres, fifth in Pole Vault, and ninth in the 200 Metres. He placed fourth in the Junior Boys aggregate standings with 51 points, only four points back of the top finisher.
