Poulter signs two-way deal with Utica Comets

Former Swift Current Broncos netminder Isaac Poulter signed a contract for the 2023-24 season. Poulter inked a two-way deal with the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League the club announced on April 25.

The 6’2’’ Winnipeg product appeared in 13 games with the Comets during the 2022-23 regular season. He finished with a 7-3-3 record, a 3.63 goals against average, and a .883 save percentage during his first professional season.

Poulter, 21, also played 22 games with the Adirondack Thunder in the East Coast Hockey League with a 10-8-2 record, a 2.93 GAA and a .910 save percentage.

Poulter played 137 regular season games for the Broncos with a 3.76 GAA and a .891 save percentage over four seasons in Swift Current.

The Comets will begin a North Division semi-final series against the Toronto Marlies on Thursday. They are the AHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.
