Swift Current Christian Taekwondo, in collaboration with Sask WT Taekwondo, will be hosting the Provincials in Swift Current on Saturday at the Stockade in Kinetic Exhibition Park.
With close to 140 athletes from across the province, this will be the first time this tournament will be hosted in the city.
“We are excited to hold this event in Swift Current and provide a competitive opportunity for athletes, coaches and referees involved in the sport,” said head instructor of Swift Current Christian Taekwondo Gary Voysey. “It’s also a great opportunity for the general public to come out and see what Taekwondo is all about.”
The schedule for the tournament is as follows:
8 a.m. – Doors Open
9 a.m. – Opening Ceremony
9:45 a.m. – All Poomsae Divisions (patterns) begin
11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. – Sparring Divisions begin in each ring
3:30 p.m. – Approximate start time of all Black Belt Divisions
